Hi Marley Amplifies Voice of the Customer with Board of Directors Addition

InsurTech Startup Keeps Focus on Continuous Innovation to Meet Insurance Carrier Needs

Boston, MA – March 21, 2022 – Hi Marley, creators of the only intelligent communication platform built for insurance by people who know and love insurance, today announced the addition of insurance industry veteran Margie Dillon to its Board of Directors. Dillon brings more than 20 years of experience in the P&C insurance space to the Board.

The former Liberty Mutual executive will offer valuable insights to help Hi Marley develop its strategy, expand its business, set the product roadmap and build its team during a pivotal growth stage.

Shifting consumer expectations are pressuring carriers to provide more communication options for policyholders. According to a recent survey, 86 percent of respondents said texting is their primary electronic communication method, and 71 percent prefer to interact with an existing service provider via text messaging over a call or an email. The Hi Marley Insurance Cloud enables insurance providers to use text messaging to simplify communications, increase transparency and efficiencies and improve customer satisfaction.

“I was drawn to Hi Marley’s mission of empowering insurance carriers to communicate simply,” said Dillon. “I’m excited to be part of a company that is addressing a significant yet complex challenge for insurance carriers. The beauty of Hi Marley is that it can be configured to work within the myriad of insurance companies’ product offerings and seamlessly integrated into insurance carriers through APIs. That flexibility provides exponential benefits for carriers, their customers and the rest of the insurance ecosystem.”

The pace of change in the insurance industry is accelerating rapidly. Consumers have a tremendous amount of choice of insurance providers in today’s competitive market; customer acquisition and retention require relentless efforts. It’s tough for companies with an extensive list of priorities to excel at everything necessary to keep up. This period of transformation presents carriers the opportunity to partner with InsurTech solutions that will complement their operations and enhance their businesses.

“Carriers know that anyone they partner with is an extension of their brand,” said Dillon. “Partnering with a company like Hi Marley that has deep domain expertise, understands the complex industry and is solving a fundamental pain point across the ecosystem offers an exciting value proposition to insurers.”

Dillon will help Hi Marley drive innovation, so it can continue to offer its customers the tools and capabilities that will set them apart from the competition.

“We’re thrilled to add Margie to our Board of Directors,” said Mike Greene, CEO of Hi Marley. “Her extensive experience leading successful teams and background in the P&C industry will be a tremendous asset to Hi Marley as we scale. Margie’s intimate understanding of our insurance market along with her passion and insight into the voice of the customer are a wonderfully rare and valuable combination.”
